Yes, the concept of Islamic banking and finance is common in Europe and little bit in USA. However, it becomes debatable issues in several seminars and conferences in these continentals after the financial crisis in particular Europe (UK, France... etc.). In UK for example, the concept is more common than any other countries due to awareness of financial and education industry.
In America, the concept is still struggling. Currently, there is La Riba Bank which is considered Islamic bank.
the concept is not known or common by real defination but after2008 crises of global economy they try to learn about islamic banking cause they found it more safer than normal bank
