Yes it is. Because I am a painter got soo many rewards in school times but after school I moved to Photoshop and now I almost forgot the materials required for Hand Painting. Photoshop and other softwares are saving time and money. Technology is improving and Human Efforts decreasing.
No never, people with the vision for ART always looking for that.
That is purely dependent on how long mankind uses a physical canvas, be it different forms of paper, skin and cloth to express themselves.
