When I started writing, I started with poetry and was influenced by William Wordsworth; kept reading for him whenever I had the chance for many years after.

I rely a lot on humour when I write and sometimes my writing borders on "absurdity", I can only think it is because of my love of anything written by a since deceased British comedian, Spike Milligan. My favourite book of his was about his time as a very low ranked soldier in the British Army during World War II, he was never involved in any combat, his novel was entitled "Adolf Hitler, my part in his Downfall", very tongue in cheek.
