One of the accepted definitions is the extent to which a design of a facility provides for ease of construction yet meets the overall requirements of that facility.

But the one I like the most is "doing for fifty cents what any damn fool can do for a dollar".

Constructability is a process performed during pre-construction phase focusing on reviewing the construction of any item from start to finish, ensuring the elimination of any issues before the project is actually built in order to reduce errors that will have an impact on cost and time.
