Working in a global company, we face a number of challenges in making sure the right information is shared with the employees world wide.
Email is definitely a very good way of communicating with the employees but when focusing on the wider audience, they are not very effective as at times employees do not read them regularly, especially when they see that its from HR :)...
We prefer using various alternatives such as:1.
Company blog (Microsoft SharePoint has great functionality as well).2.
Electronic Notice Boards placed at reception areas as well as elevators in our offices3.
Company-Wide meetings (Town halls)
