The role of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is to predict and take measures to mitigate or reduce adverse effects of a any project. For instance the emission of particulate matter into the environment may bring about high incidence of repiratory diseases .The use of air filters, scrubbers in incinerator rehabilitation. If the mitigation is not beneficial, the project can as well be abandoned

EIA minmize the negative impacts of a development activity/project not only on human beings but also all other living organisms. Its main aim is to achieve the goal of sustainalbe development and improve the quality of and life and environment.
