Thank you for the invitation. I have never managed a hotel but I think that a hotel manager like any other mangers can be better than his/her peers based on his/her skills and expertise. In all types of business there are managers better than others.
Hotel manager must have to bring a new system from own experience to your New Hotel. Becasue Hotel is expecting a lot from you better than former because company looking your past experience and firstly, his experience one by one follow up to staff and co operate between employee and manager . As per your performance company need profit better than others. also , Guest satisfaction due to the good cooperation from employee. It means Hotel manager credibility. in my experience i have been see all hotel manager starting is power full .after that they are coming back to care less. A Good Hotel manager is a man who is not worried about his carrier. but rather the carrier of those who work for him. If they are doing a systematic i hope that hotel manager can acheive his target.
everyone in the hotel should have a feeling that only he is staying in the hotel. Though it is extreme in hospitality but more you achieve towards that goal, the better you are manager.
At the end of the day each manager has to satisfy his customer. In hotel business the customers needs more attention till he/she gets satisfied. I believe that the more creative/innovative the hotel manager is the more successfull he/she is.
Shortly : There are some points that make a hotel manager better than other like:
1- Must be efficiency and have the experience in both of Rooms Division and Food & Beverage with their all sub departments
2- He must to have an opened sales & marketing mind.
3- He has to be Active, Clever, Flexible, Leader, Decision maker and has a high quality of communication skills
