These are all some process which are experimented and tested for a better understanding of the customer or project. Eventhough it is not mandatory, it adds a great value in service delivery and project management. Having both the certificates and16+ yrs of hardcore experiance, these workflows have indeed helped to win the satisfaction over the customer.

Certification simply confirm that you have the minimum knowledge of a topic ,although it do not confirm your profeciency ,but at least as employer I know that you have minimum requirement for the task

It is not necessary for me as a SAP system engineer at all. I have been practicing for more than17 years. Nobody even bothered about them. I visited an ITIL seminar last year but I got my job without hearing any question about that certificate. In fact ITIL describes a certain scheme of work. Whether you work in the SAP domain or not. It depends on the location maybe. In Germany nobody ever asked me about it. As an experienced system engineer, I found during the ITIL seminar that I do implement the methods intuitively. Even those enterprises that ask for this certification find themselves in practice not even able to apply them, because they are an obstacle in their daily work! At my previous employer, the employees asked themselves and the senior manager why did we learn all this? We are not able or allowed to implement ITIL. He said, "Just keep it in your minds for yourselves!". This is the huge difference between theory and practice. Some things about ITIL are ok, others remain only theory.

PMP and Prince2 are industry-recognized certifications for project managers, ITIL is a well istablished framework and best practices for IT Service Management. Certification in PMP, ITIL and/or Prince2 provide means assuring that the certified person meets the requirements of each certification scheme.

Dear Mr. Hawazen

I just recently completed my SAP Netweaver course, but for any IT job requirement is to have ITIL or PMP or Prince2 certification. Could you guide me which one of them will be actually better for my career.

Thank you and best regards
