In Egypt and other Arab countries, most respected schools usually seek EU/US teachers to fill their teaching positions. Arab nationals are automatically screened out in most cases, unless they have a UK or US teaching certifications. How can we overcome this, taking into consideration that a UK certification such as PGCE costs a hefty sum of nearly40,0 EGP?
Hi Alaa, I am sure that it is only a matter of time before Egyptian teachers, or rather the Egyptian process of accreditation is given as much "status" as that of other nationalities, as much as I would like to teach in your country I honestly feel that "homegrown" teachers in your schools is the way forward, for nationalistic and cultural reasons above all else.
By genuine Training .. Professional training on the know how only which reuire for the Egyptian teachers ( attitude and mindset training ) not just teaching methodolgies ..
Everything starts by mind .. Develop the mind set and automatically they will exceed and be outstanding .
Egypt has its own vast treasure of knowledge which perhaps needs to be revived and valued by Egyptians only. Value your knowledge treasure and culture and bridge the gap by knowing more languages to spread it across the world.
