100 times out of100 times I will pick TALENT.

Talent is smartness, creativity, aptitude, ability, intelligence…..

When you apply intelligence and talent to work, hard work becomes smart work.

A talented person will convert hard work to smart work with efficiency and results.

Nice and tricky!

Some people may actually have both off course, which would be the perfect blend for any job. I'll assumes that the job actually demands having both, talent & hard working attitude, but is put to the hard task of choosing between only talented candidates & only hardworking ones.

  1. If the job demands creativity, thinking out of the box, analytical skills & autonomy, I will go for (intellectual or creative) talent.
  2. If the job has well defined confines & demands more productivity, punctuality and/or discipline, I'll go for hardworking.

Talent is doing the task while thinking out of the box and doing it better than the rest.

i would hire an employee with talent no doubt because talent can't be taught to someone but knowledge and experience could.

Talent is a natural skill of thinking, planning, working on, to complete a task effectively within the time.  When the candidates are talented and multi tasking, there is no need for them to work hard, as they can complete their work on time and easily.  Candidates those who are not talented, they don't know how to complete the task and they waste time to find the solution by asking others, so they shows like working hard and even after working hours, but doing nothing.

At new hires attitude plays a vital role.  Candidates with good attitude are cooperative, understanding and ready to learn new things.

Choosing talented or hard working will depends on the job role.  Mostly for professional jobs Talent and multi tasking is required, at times they have to be hard working also.  Skilled labour and Technicians require hard working.

However, first preference to be given to the candidates with talent and hard working at any job.

Keeping in mind the meanings of TALENT, i.e capacity, faculty, ability, genius, competence, flair etc, I 'll definitely choose to hire the person having TALENT though he is less hard working than others. Hard working without talent/ability of doing that particulare work is of no means. NO doubt employers prefer to have hard workers onboard but they should be equiped with Talent too.

I think Mr. khatim Abbas have said it all, Talent is an in-built thing or Gift in every man/woman. a Talented person works with creative ideas that can produce a faster result and a lesser task or stress or effort , while a Hardworking person works with his physical abilities, that will adhere to due process or protocol in doing anything which will definitely waste time. Like he said, both are quite imperative but u just need to assign them base on Job roles. For Analytical Post - Talent. Required For Operational Post - Hard working Required But if i pick One, i think i will choose Talented candidate not only that they can adapt to become Hard working, that is if they are not Hard working? they offer excellent and effective and efficiently service delivery than............. Note; "it is by Hard-work or Brilliance, but by Intelligence that will determine your success in life " please ask BILL GATE. he knows what am talking about.

Ask the person in all sectors questions like sports, Politics, Social Activates, Friends Circle If in all respect he has an answer then he has got a talent of present mind OR if I have to chose a talented person then I will give him impossible task and will wait for answer if he try the best then at least he has a talent of put his all potential and in the beginning he refuse to say that it is impossible then who has no confidence on his own self that one how can be talented. REJECT

As per my experience the profile of job is the main factor which influence your choice to choose a hard worker or talent. Both are important for proper execution of the work.

But generally talent shall be my preference becuase you can get inspire from a knowledgable person and increase your intellectuals and experience to do work in exteme professional manner.

But in the organization you may have to choose a hard worker also, in that situation I would prefer to live with talent and work with hard worker.

Talent is an art form mixed with inspiration. You can see it in your everyday life and it can make your day better because talented people make boring things look really interesting. In a way, they stand out. Therefore, I think they are the best employees There is no talent though without will-power. Gifted people know that and with the contribution of their strong character and dedication, I really believe they can do miracles! So, I would go for the talented employee!
