In the early years of ERP, the implementation process took more time. In some cases the implantation took years to complete and involved a huge financial investment by the companies. However, with the changing technology scenario the implementation of ERP system also become an easy process. Now the web-based ERP solution such as eresource could complete the implementation within a short period under its guaranteed on-time implementation method.

Nowadays the ERP system software has become much cheaper and affordable to any kind of organization within their limited budget. The affordable eresource ERP solution has helped many smaller companies go for ERP solution and started benefiting from its effectiveness in a big way.

Having said that, we would also like to remind all the companies that would be planning an ERP implementation must be careful in their selection of the right ERP solution. An ERP system can also bring negative result due to poor selection process or a poor ERP implementation

ERP Vendor's Choice is very important beside the ERP company itself

Here in my company I participated in two implementations

one was an upgrade from Axapta4 to Axapta2009 and another one was a new Axapta2012 with openening balances from Axapta2009

the most important thing I recommend is that you should be carefull in choosing the Company will it be SAP or Microsoft or Oracle, etc .. and the second thing is choosing the vendor you will deal with to get your new needs and support your system the third thing is choosing the most easy-integrated system because of-course in future you will integrate your system with fornt end systems like CRM and sales systems or even backend like HR systems

No, Gone are the days when ERP implementation was taking years’ time and lot of money. In this modern era, the ERP system software has become much cheaper and affordable. Most important is the right decision, whether or not the ERP is suitable for the increase of organizational efficiency.

Basically, ERP systems integrate all business management functions and provides the solid operational backbone but the companies must choose the right ERP system where required to best suit their needs.

The biggest advantage of an ERP system is with its real time capabilities and the ability to see what is going on with the company as it happens. It helps to avoid unfavorable situations ( Ex: Stoke storage as each dept in the organization is linked with this ERP)

Majors Benefits of ERP include;

·         Streamlining processes

·         Reduce redundant data entry and processes

·         Improved workflow and efficiency

·         Improved customer satisfaction

·         A consolidated picture

Although it is expensive but it is very helpful and good, it allows us to integrate all the records in one system and whole organisation can view it with proper acess.

First we all have to know what is ERP ? then we can answer the above question , But in my point of veiw as i worked in a Multi / Local / International Firms ) its not expensive at all but it make you run the data needed on time and accuracy basis and thats depends on the stuff you hierd as my may make the busniess down if you didn't make them know how to use the ERP not as data entry and normal routine work but an expert in it to reach up for the ideal frame work.

I agree that there are many ERP systems in the market, but in the process of preparing the (SoR) the more your (Statement of Requirement = SoR) is this narrows down your selection of the ERP system to ERP with higher capabilities which are much more expensive… keep in mind that smaller ERPs would require much of customization which you will lose if you upgrade your ERP software. In larger ERPs most of your requirement is done by workarounds rather than customization.

I also agree that the right choice of ERP is of great importance, but I have to add that choosing the company doing the implementation for you is even more important and screening and accepting the individual consultants from the company doing the implementation is even much more important.

I may have a different opinion that ERP used to take longer time than now… what is causing time wastage is the poor vision and lack of proper SoR and the implementation becomes a learning process with SoR changing every minute with new requirement coming up every day… this is the real waste of time.

I have the opinion that Web based ERP has nothing to do with a quick implementation… in fact web based ERP helps smoother operation because your team where ever they may be and other external parties can access your ERP saving on data entry and reducing double entries errors.
