When import shipment arrives we have to breckdown the cargo from containers because 1 container may contains mixes shipment of more than one consignee. So we have to segrigate the the shipment as per air waybill and store in warehouse and immediately inform the consignee and also tell the consignee that if he/she donot collect the shipment within some certain hours, storage charge will be applicable.

The Authorities can impose penalty / fine to the consignee. so that he would try to release container asap
