Actully, when I teach, I consider both, grades should reflect knowledge aquisition plus the other learning outcomes. My assessment tools should be sensetive and valid.
Both are two sides of the same coin. However, I believe in teaching students in order to equip them to face the challenges of the changing world. Grades and knowledge are important. However, grades are valid till the course ends and most of the knowledge they acquire is not often used anywhere in their life. In the changing world, knowledge is available in anywhere on internet. What we need is the skill to use it in the new and ever changing world!!
Both are important.
Acquisition for sure
Both are important and should be taken care.
Good grades can never be the right parameter for knowledge.
Although better grades enhance confidence and motivation levels
But I hate to promote or pass my pupil by giving them extra grades .
Knowledge is a light which gets absorbed by knowledge seeking students
the rest only see the light passing above their heads.Grades matter the least
I teach for the duty to spread knowledge and make everyone a responsible human
I agree with Ms Lamia. Both are important but knowledge will last forever and will be used throughout life
Good grades should, in theory, prove that you have been successful in teaching! The primary aim is the acquistion of knowedge and therefore good grades should follow as a result. Consequently I would suggest that it would be very difficult to have one without the other!!
both of them
Both are Important, But they shouldn't forget what they learned after grades :D
