The duties are highly depending in the area you're working in. For example Nuclear engineer can work as a Nuclear reactor operation, construction, or design. each of which has its own responsibilities according to the nature of work. In my case I'm working in Research reactor construction project in which I've been involved in the design , construction and currently commissioning phase. M y duties includes, but not limited to:

- Investigation of FLUENT & CFX codes application in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in relation to JRTR fluid systems.

- Performing the design calculation that includes performing the pressure drop calculation for the fluid systems of the Jordan training and Research Reactor including PCS and SCS.- Performing Safety Analysis for the Nuclear reactors systems and component using RELAP5.- Following up the systems commissioning activities at the construction site on daily basis.- Reviewing the “as-built” Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID’s).- Reviewing component’s design documents, specifications and vendors characteristics.- Following-up the installation of the systems, structure and components guided by the Isometric drawing.- Attending the cooling systems-corresponding tests, meetings, components’ installation and all other activities related to the commissioning and operation of the cooling system.
