When a employee is working dedicatedly, is harworking, but still being treated unfairly when requests an appraisal. what should the employee do in this situation. There is appreciation and acknowledgement of his/her hardwork and dedication, but only in words nothing in action. What option remains with them. "Leave it or take it". What about the self esteem?
Although most companies claim to adhere to "equal opportunity employent", it rarely happens. Not to discourage you on anything, but one's potential can be foreseen within the first six months of employment; having said that, theif they were to promote you, they would have done so the first few times you have addressed your request for an appraisal.
Since, there were no changes, I'm afraid waiting will not make any difference. A good organization will provide a good compensation and benefit, to retain its employees - hence, I given your situation, Its best you move on.

Should be patient till the management change their behaivor or finding opportunity some where else where he/she is appreciated of his/her hardworking.
Often such situations are created by collegous or equalent employees. You should find out the proper person as you think he should be "Netural" and start negotions with the office politics, keep records to remain safe in any worst condition, but always trust the organization where you are working.
One important thing one should always follow is that to remain always non-responsive towards the office politics, as the time passes you will find the things are getting solved off their own.
Focus on the job. Accept that each employee or boss is different.
As long as you remain in any organization, put in your best.
In my opinion, it is best to approach the right person, throw the ball in their court, with sufficient reasons and justifications that is. If they really want to retain you they would. Give them & urself sufficient time to think about, but be prepared mentally to move on.
This is true that in a recent scenario many a times we have to face unfair situation in office management, the question is how to deal with it ? My response is we have to foccussed on our work with discipline and our integrity should be above par, and if we are dedicated worker of the comany, our work quality should prove us automatically, which shall automatically remove the biased / unfair situation if any.
