Performance appraisal is the process of measuring the performance, but the performance management is covering both the performance measurement and tacking a timely corrective action for the unfavorable performance.

Performance apprarisal is system of  assessing and rating the employeree's past/curret performance relative to his/her performance standards., it is periodic.

Performance management is more about setting ohjectives,communicating, monitoring, developing, training to support exceotional employee's for organizational success. It is an ongoing process.
