Protocol is used to communicate between two entities of the computer.It's mean a protocol can be develop to communicate between a single computer as well as a bunch of the computers i mean in the wide area netwrking.There are some methods are used to develop a protocol.A simple formula is use of encryption and decryption key along with some method of algorithum

In networking Protocols are pre defined rules used for the communication between network devices . A protocol may consist of Type of error checking to be used Data compression which method to be used for it Data encryption How to indicate that a device has finished sending message How to indicate that a device has finished receiving a message.. Etc

1. General: Unwritten rules or guidelines that are peculiar to every culture or organization, and are supposed to be observed by all parties in the conduct of business, entertaining, negotiating, politics, etc.2. Product development: Statement of attributes (features and benefits) that a new product must be designed to have. A product protocol is prepared by consulting all parties (customers, marketing, production, distribution) to the project.3. Technology: Set of agreed upon, and openly published and distributed, standards that enables different firms to manufacture compatible devices to the same specifications. All devices made under the same protocol work with one another without any adjustment or modification.
