Hi Mathew,

These skills are mandatory to know for any web developer mentioned as below:

1. Good Knowledge of any of the Framework ( CodeIgniter, Symfony, CakePhp, Zend etc ).

2. Supportive Script like Jquery, Javascript, AJAX etc.

3. LAMP/WAMP Technology ( Apache, MySQL, Phpmyadmin )

4. Shoud have understanding of integration with other Web API's.

5. Knowledge of Any Template Engine will be neccessary.

These are the skills required for php base web development. I Hope this would help you to analyze skill requirement.
