Ehab we use SMART targets for our youngsters who are all diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We find them an extremely valuable tool:

S - Specific (person focused)

M - Measurable (do you have a scale that you can judge results against)

A - Achievable (Is the individual actually capable of doing the task)

R - Realistic (Don't set the bar too high)

T - Timescale (Set a nominal and viable period for the task to be completed)
