Ibeleive that leaders are born and not made. On the other hand, some of the leadership skills can be tought to almost every one, especially managers. One important example is strategic thinking which leaders should master. The following tips help instil strategic thinking in any person: sharing business information, create a mentor program, communicate strategy, reward thinking, and ask "why" and "when".

Other development fields are the skills required by both managers and leaeaders such as effective communication, negotitaion, team playing, change management, risk management & performance management.
