How do you deal with rivalry at work based on "pure envy", "inner insecurities" or "personal disliking"?

What do you do when you (and most others) are very sure it has nothing to do with work or your own behaviour? What do you do when it's concerning one person or a group of colleagues?

Rivalry has increased in the workplace today because people feel they must compete for job security. Many work environments are filled with fear and are in dire need of healing. With the increasing uncertainty and growing layoffs, many people are insecure and lack trust in the very place that provides their financial security. The cost to corporations is immeasurable because people do not work at their full potential when there is so much stress.

I believe that competition is good sometimes long as it don't get out of control. It keeps you on your toes and makes you want to stay two steps ahead.

  1. Continue to shine and never take it personally. Usually the “rival” is competing with inner/personal issues.

  2. If you are being challenged by rival, always ask why, what’s motivation.

  3. Approach with caution & respect. Be honest, but don’t attack them. It may just be their personality.

  4. Know it exists, but don’t let it bother you. Have confidence in yourself, but don’t be cocky.

This is a very difficult situation in a work environment. Well, if an employee is disliked by his/her boss I don't think he/she could easily stay a long time in his/her post. If he is dealing with other employee's envy or hostility then it's a matter of how close they are working together. If they are in another department or they have little to do with each other, then things could be tolerable. But if this situation is a routine and they have businness affairs, then I think that someone will have to leave his/her job. It is very difficult to have a good performance in your job if you have to deal with this situation. Then the employee must confront the others who make his/her life hard or leave his job, if a solution hasn't been found.

Its a very UNIQUE discussion, that you have suggested: I would say, as per my experience as below:

Its just like that THE INVENTOR OF AK-47 gun, told that "  Oh My God, Ah! What I have invented, it shouldn't".

So inner or self envy is the reflection of what we have done by not keeping in view the future aspects and to deal with them is to revalue the stage at where we are then should look to future aspects for us. Because usually what we do for betterment it may turn to harassment if we are not aware.

Although this is the only time when a person realize the need of be relegious or the need of Almighty no matter, of what name we know or follow him, he may be Allah, Christ, Lord Krishna or Rama, but a Almighty is there.

So by admiring a supreme power and saying to him that ALMIGHTY, please take care of me, at the glance we will see that we become lighter and our soul asking us to get up and restart and to follow the ethics of soul.

Please let me know other way really I would be thankful to you all.
