Yes, Financial services is a part of Services Industry.

The difference is Financial service companies mostly depends on Investments and longterm deposits and they finance the money for higher interest or re-invest in high profitable projects.  The difference between investment interest and finance interest is their benefit as well as the profit on the re-investment.

Other Services Industries are not required much money to establish and run.  Most of the service industries are manpower and arts based. For example Transporation, Tourism, Entertainment etc.
