A newborn baby can only learn his mother's language and possibly (later on) other languages as he grows up.

In case the parents have different languages, the father may have some influence leading to the newborn baby learning a second language even at a smaller scale

Now i yout talk about kids (children) and not newborn babies, then I would assume the maximum number of languages can be between5 and10 ... differing from child to child and from environment to envvironment

Good question. I assume that he can acquire every language from his parents. It's good if we made a prospective study to know how-many he/she can ??Thanks.
