Yes the tally is much better than excel... Because the tally was developed only for the accounting pupose.

Excel is for general purpose, these softwares are specific as per accounting requirements & standards.

Peachtree and Tally are specifically designed for Accounts but still Excell helps in the maintenance of side job/record/processing for these automated softwares.
