Lead by example, make sure that you are a good and effective communicator. Don't be afraid to speak up against any examples of poor or "non" communication that you witness, an excellent and basic example of good communication is when you TELL people that they are going wrong!
The simple steps I follow :
A) Keeping udated myself for informations relating to me and organization
B) To identify the scope of communication to be ACTIVE OR PASSIVE
C) Perfect presentation before communicating
D) Ensuring resources creditablity before communication
E) To identify the perfect time for perfect point to be communicated
F) To provide the written note of points communicated where seems necessary and taking feedbacks too.
Communications can be improved by:
Paying attention to the needs of other people;
Listening actively, taking care and noticing signs;
Taking time to communicate in an appropriate way;
Taking time to check that the message has been understood;
Paying attention to feedback;
Giving feedback;
Choosing the time and place carefully when you expect to have a difficult or confidential conversation.
use simple words, simple language
follow up frequently and ask for feedback.
It is all about sending and receiving if one of them is bad you have a bad communication, and good clear ideas do not need to much words they require good actions.
There are2 types of communication in a corporate organization. One is the official and the other is the unofficial grape vine. Now if the official is not strong and dependable the grape vine would be strong and the co does not have any control over it.
· If I were in control of the official communication I would like to make it more effective by:-
· Making it believable.
· If people trust the official communication there would not be any need for grapevine.
· Should be brave enough to share the honest information in troubled times.
· When there is a chance of retrenchment should admit it.
· Pretending everything is ok when it is not would not help.
These are the factors if considered would help in making official communication more effective.
