- Why not? Why yes? - Are smiley's [ :-) ;-) :P ] mostly useful or mostly useless? - Are they for all of us or just or kids? - Do they have positive added value to our written communication or a negative one?
well i think professionals don't like this act.
but i really use smiley's in writen communication & mostly its useful.
its a good way to show your emotions in communication.
Word professional..required professional format for communication .
In specified format smiley’s use is prohibited.
In formal company corrspondence of emails usage of smileys do not portray professionalism. These expressions are more convenient with someone you have known informally and have the comfort level to share like the smileys.
I do not think it is appropriate to use "smiley's" in professional communication. If it is a client that has become a friend there might be an exception.
No. Email etiquette prohibits the use of ''smileys'' or emoji. Using emoji in formal emails makes you look juvenile and unprofessional.
Smiley are funny ways to represent moods. I hope professionally stakeholders will like to be assertive and will not evoke mood symbols. SO to answer, if professionals are not chatty or are on subject they should not use, mood symbols.
PS: I will not try to be creative to send my feelings across.
Yes
