Corporate culture is nothing but a set of rules which are generally acceptable norms of propriety. They cover broad aspects like dressing, e mail ettiquettes, conduct in meetings etc. They are generally not enforceable.
However company rules are derived from these norms of corporate culture and these are documented and can enforced. Violation of the company rules will land you in trouble.
But unwritten norms of corporate culture will not lose you your job or fetch you an admonishment but will effect your interpersonal relationship in the company.
That employee handbook you got on your first day on the job is good insight into your company's culture and methods of behavior control. Most company handbooks should include such things as nondisclosure agreements, anti-discrimination policies, expected work schedules, standards of conduct and general information. Violating these policies could result in verbal or written reprimands by your superior or termination in extreme cases. Rules and regulations integrate into the company culture and sometimes become embedded in the shared values and social norms of the culture.
