Yes it is helpful in a way that it deals with people or resources involved on that project. Being best known as one of the theories of motivation, satisfying the first4 D needs(deficiency) will bring out the full potential of the person involve on the project. Of course that leads to a more productivity and efficiency of the person, in the long run with80% of the manpower resources have the real sense of self-actualization(e.g. creativity) which is the top-most of the hierarchy can bring success to a project.

In Project Management, first of all you have to identify your internal and external customers, secondly you have to identify their needs.... Afterwards you should make a strategy to fullfil their needs so that minimum resources is utilized.
