Keep it simple with everything not just art director, when you try to find something, get the main point you like and make it goes around, in this way all the people can understand your idea, be honest, say i don't know when you are, ask anyone to help and share everything with everyone, that's make me take serveral web awards, and always follow the rules in your way.

You have to imagine that your Art Director or supervisor is the client and you are pitching your concept or design to him/her. Always put in mind the following:

 - Keep things brief

 - Dont doubt your concept or you wont be able to sell it

 - Give a previous less dazzling option before your best one

Good Luck
