How to measure performance of accountants or accounting department, is it easy?
As there is nothing for accountants like a Sales target, or production quantity to measure performance. There are some Key Vital Factors (KVF) for accountants set by their manager and evaluate the performance based on completion of those KVFs. For example a manger sets two indicators:
1- Completion of Sales Booking in the system within first5 days of each month for the sales of previous month and
2- Bank reconciliation within first7 days of each month for the company bank.
On completion of these tasks within time limit manager assigns scores.
