Should students be allowed to use calculators for simple maths equations?

Basic math skill are very important. They help us to improve our skills like reasoning, problem solving,decision making.So it should not be allowed to use calculator.

If you are worried about effort, why not make them write out their solutions? It will be annoying for them, but the repetition of writing will make the lesson stick, and so dissaude them from jumping to their calculators every chance they get. If you do NOT want them to use calculators, then offer them incentives for choosing to do so; maybe give out difficult questions now and then to stimulate their abilities in mental Math.

using calculators cancels using the mind.When they grow up , they will try to invent easy gadgets that think instead of them.I'm afraid that thinking will be a thing of the past like the video for example that disappeared due to the computer being invented.
