Actually both software are incredibly helpful, myself, i used to be an AutoCAD user, but after using eplan it became my favorite.
Eplan is much more easier, much more concentrated and it has whatever you want from projects pre-planing to the very last steps of manufacturing.
But let's not to forget about AutoCAD it's a very common software and lots of engineers are familiar with it.
In my opinion AutoCAD is just a CAD software, but eplan is an engineering software.
You cant say one is better or worse than the other, because each of them meant to do a different job than the other.
