NGR is neutral ground resistor which we introduce on transformer neutral in series to reduce or oppose the flow of fault current to the ground in case of any fault in the transformer, this help to save the transformer winding and reduce the heavy amount of fault current to flow.

NGR - Neutral Grounding Transformer. Which is used to groung the star point of transformer. It will limit the current flowing through the neutral during fault condition. This is used to safe guard the transformer during fault time.
