During my career I have seen both, i.e. colleagues respecting each other and querrling each other. This has been for two reaons; workload and benefits. When they work the same time/amount, and get the same emoluments, they are happy and treat each other by eat and drink. When some of them work less and get enough, and others work more but get less, then there comes jealousy. They became opponents and demonstrate their inner the other way.
