To answer your question through analogy, ask yourself this; should the provision of medical advice be limited to doctors/general medical practitioners?Law is a highly technical field, with many procedural intricacies as well as legal concepts which may not be commonly known. By allowing non-legal persons to dispense advice, it would not only serve to create additional problems for those seeking legal relief but also inundate the courts with faulty claims and/or poorly prepared cases, thereby lengthening the legal process for no reason other than faulty advice.
