Yes, It is a cost effective method but companies should not neglect training these interns as this may result in lot of bad consequences. The interns are generally fresh graduates or MBAs, sometimes not accuainted with work ettiqutes and corporate cultures. if not trained properly will lead to waste of time of both employee and employers.
Yes I agree that an internship is not only cost effective but a great way to train the employee before making them a permanent hire. It is also in the best interest of the employee to gain this experience for future use.
