Showing a gap year in your C.V isn't good idea at all.

And you can cure it by accepting to work anything even it doesn't suit you or away from your college.

these period of time will benifit you getting experience at least dealing with people with different cultures.

And your answer if you were asked in the interview about this unsuitable job will be :

I was searching for a good job but I didn't and I can work anything I don't have a problem.

Many great people were nothing and became everything.

There is no such thing a "CV gap" in my dictionary, unless one was dead during such a gap! You must've done something during such a "gap", and that something should NEVER be viewed as a minus. It's just information that one should share in confidence & within own respect for privacy. There is more to (and more in) life than continuous uninterrupted conventional work/employment. And professional competence in a CV is not measured by year-notations, starting by "from" and ending by "to"! Such a stupid term that should be out of the recruitment world! If such a question is posed, one should subtly defy the poor terminology and turn it into a more applicable, more realistic, less derogatory explanation of what you've been doing: taking a break to re-evaluate life priorities and career, voluntary work, study, freelance work, writing a book. If an employer can't see value in this then he most likely won't value my genuine added value that I'll be bringing to the work. Someone else SURELY wil. I'm the master of my professional destiny, not an employer.

I have to disagree with some answers but sometimes gaps in a resume might happen, especially with the turbulant and demanding job market around us.

First thing you need to do don't wait for the interviewer to ask you about it, try to bring it up while you are listing your experience, and when you do don't sound ashamed about it, just be casual and remember DON'T LIE be honest about this time, even if you were job hunting you can mention that while you were looking for a job you did some self development or studying during that time.

Hopefully soon you will add more experience to your resume you won't have to worry about it again

good luck
