Identifying Needs, needs that already exist  in your target market and you are trying to satisfy it.

Creating Needs, companies how create needs are the pioneers of the market who have a strong R&D department they think of new features to add to their products or create new one's (like for example mobile phones) non of us thought that one day mobile phones will be a need and something we cant live without it so, they created a new need which didn't exist before.

Full Filling Needs, is satisfying consumers needs to the extreme, this strategy is usually used to prevent consumers from switching to competitors.

Marketing is a mix of all these things.

Marketing includes all the above but is not limited to it. As a matter of fact it is more concerned with exploring, creating and delivering "value" than "needs". Through and following market research, R&D, & marketing research among others, marketing core function is to concentrate on "value" as a result of "need". It is about creating, capturing and sustaining VALUE, based on identifying, creating and/or fulfilling needs.
