If you ask this question to a management graduate then definitely the answer is 'Marketing' because marketing has broad spectrum then sales and sales is a part of marketing. But if you ask this question to a successful sales person then the answer is 'Sales' because he knows the lucrative incentives & perks.
But for me, I am a sales person and would like to move to Marketing as I believe that if I explore more I learn more.
Depends on the workplace. Both positions are attractive to me, it all comes down to the people you work with, the environment and your boss. Suppose that both positions offer a similar environment I personally would prefer working in marketing simply because it involved more planning and less practical on the spot role compared to sale.

It depends on which field you are interested in, and where you have the expertise. If you are a sales concern person not a good sign to go and join marketing team. In sales team you will explore much more and grow. So my answer is i will go with sales.
Let amy one answer this question, it would broadly on two factors that is firstly interest and secondly on the individual and where she/he expertises but in my asnwer I would orefer the fild which has broder scope.
definitely marketing department, its much more interesting for me and there is more room for creativity in it which is very important for me.
I prefer only Marketing as i am from the same field.
