Theft at work brings issues to coworkers.

When employees steal from their employers, they do more than break the rules of the workplace. They also break the laws, and they put all the employees of the company at risk. Steal the workplace can put the company in financial distress and a tent. Staff faces many difficult decisions when spot steal a colleague at work. Understanding how to respond can make it much easier to deal with theft by fellow officer

Whistleblowing to supervisors

The simplest way to deal with a co-worker who steals is to arrange a private meeting with the supervisor. I can tell you what the supervisor saw and allow Musharraf to deal with this issue. Reporting to the Supervisor, though, you can have some drawbacks. In some cases, it may be supervisors and friendly relationship with a co-worker who is a steal. Can cover up the theft of the supervisor or simply ignore your report. In some cases, the supervisor may be involved in the theft. Supervisor may try to finish your work or threatens you in some way.

Contact Human Resources

Human Resources Department is generally less interaction with the staff has. So, contact the Human Resources Director may take action to ensure when someone coworker of theft reports. In addition, a director of human resources to provide greater anonymity protection. The downside is that human resources management is more likely to take quick and complete procedures. The offending employee is likely to be terminated, and the Director of Human Resources can also contact the authorities and asks you to serve as a witness in a criminal case against the employee.

Contact authorities

In some cases, you may get a coworker in a wider conspiracy. For example, an employee may sell the loot and profit-sharing with other employees. Owner of the company may also be stealing money or products. In such cases, it may be the best option for the employee to report the theft to local authorities. This is necessary sometimes to make sure that you are not accused of being in collusion with criminals. If you choose to say something about embezzlement by the boss, and the authorities can charge you with the help of theft.

The face of a colleague at work

It is never wise to confront a coworker about the theft. May take co-worker drastic measures to cover his tracks, and this can include sabotage you. The person may spread rumors about you or is it an attempt to make sure that the end of your work. Some colleagues also can be criticized in anger and threatened physical violence inside or outside the workplace. In some cases, it may co-worker asks you to keep quiet about the theft. Be wary of making promises that can make you an accomplice.

It saddens me that some are so pathetic to steal from an organization and cheat their employer. I don't tolerate this behavior and will suggest he/she stop. Eventually they will get  caught.

I would first understand the purpose of it & the level of it's importance.

No doubt stealing is bad either it is a 'Penny or a Billion' but if i could change the perception of him & make an better individual than will give a try.

If an individual is involved in cyber theft, company secrets sabotaging , stealing company documents etc would first document his activities than reach my management & provide details with proof.

In other hand:

If i find a worker in a factory stealing a chocolate or any manufacturing item (With reference to FMCG) would confront him, tell him not to involve in it & take him to his supervisor & ask him to 'request issue for personal use' thus encourage his attitude change for a life time to change the perception 'To ask rather than steal' ....

Well when you go through a UAE law you cannot fire an employee without a certain

evidence or notice or warning so , gather information first. Then Tell to the management to

take the necessary Action...................... There was one story that i was told when i was young,

The boy sees an egg in his neighbor Back yard he wanted to eat egg scramble because he was hungry then he stills it, His mother found out  but she didn't let him ,To return the egg instead they ate it. So the Kid grows up and continued stilling and his mother keeps accepting what he steels.............Eventually every thief gets arrested by the police so he did

His mother started crying saying he's my only son..... The grown up kid turned around and said You should have punished me for that egg.

So the point is if you don't stop that person at that time when you caught him or her they will keep

on steeling more and more and you might be the Victim of a robbery. You never Know

I think we should all feel empowered to do as Ms. Sidrah mentioned and confront the fellow employee, before we escalate things.  Maybe there's a bizarre explanation for their behaviour, or maybe what you think you saw didn't happen.  Perhaps what you saw did happen and needs to be rectified and never happen again.  Either way, probably best to ask and find out.
