I fully agree with Ms. Mojca, both have their utilities and together can bring out better results.
But to answer your question : No social media marketing will not replace e mail.
I am still getting better results with e mails.
No, I dont think so As Ms.Mojca & Mr.Fazal said they both complete each other, and I think that you should always send customers and specially Loyal one's mails about your new offerings or new products and servieces to show them how much you care about them and make them feel spacial, on the other hand I agree with you Ms.Nila that many consumers ignore mails.
I think it doesn't need to replace it. Social Media Marketing and Email Marketing working hand in hand can bring out the best results possible if the approach is right.
It is alrady happening. Social media is running the trends now. Besides, many people are fed up of receiving advertising offers and campaigns on their e-mails.
Easy And Fast Access And Contectivity
Social media cannot defeat email marketing and email marketing can't win with SMM because both are generate clients and different to each other, it depends on niche which one will win in your case.
I don't think so it will replace it in near future, unless something new idea is discovered
:
Social media marketing is a approach to educate and communicate with customers pre and post sales
whereas Email Marketing approach is more focus on sales, offer, discount newsletters
:
Both have different features and credibility
If you look at best practices in inbound marketing. Email marketing and social media marketing (content plans for social networks) go together.
Both are key components of your existing inbound marketing model, irrespective of sector or industry.
