Do you think companies are doing enough to engage with potential applicants? Have you experienced anything particular from a hiring company?

I remember Vestas ( Danish windmill manufacturer) organised a case study competition to attract new applicants and engage with potential employess. It was a24 hour project in groups to resolve an issue within the company. Amazing working atmosphere, motivated people, a lot of ideas and workshops. As a participant you get to learn a lot about the company business, engage with values and the brand and a chance to be noticed by the management team of the company.

Nokia team is following how people who do not know each other are involved together. Who is the leader or the project manager. and how roles are defined. it was great experience

No companies don't do enough to enguage with potential applicants. I have done the same while being Regional General Manager Etisalat PTCL Pakistan, we enguaged new engineers from NUST & UET, during their probation period we enguaged them in projetcs and fields for certain time period, at the end of their probation we kept and assigned the fields they had strength.
