HR Professionals globally need to be good in analysis, data interpretation, presentation at various level within the organisation. Ultimately its data which depicts what is happening at every level within the organisation. It's difficult to count the exact number of HR who are using pivot table charts etc, but any organisation which follows a systematic approach in decision making, its HR's must have this skill to fullfill organisational and functional need.

Yes pivot tables are very helpful in reporting and presentations. It summarizes data into a compact, understandable format. It was helpful for me in analysing huge data in excel where in have so many rows and columns. It would simplify as and how you would want it to be presented, You can drag and drop the items, that is an ideal option.
