Delegation for Upward Movement?

Do you agree that to move upward in you job, one must be an effective delegator? is this a good manager sign?

Hello Shahzad

Upward movement, may not necessarily mean that you will receive a management position, therefore delegation skills may not be a pre-requisite. However, should you receive a managment position, it would be an advantage to use the word 'empowerment', instead of delegation and to treat your peers, superiors and subordinates as you would treat your customers. I hope this makes sense

I think upward delegation is not a good managerial activites. Efficient manager delegates the power of authority to down ward.
