As an electrical engineer in mining industry you should be able to do the following electrical measurements for your equipment:

1- Measure the source voltage, current withdrawn and the frequency.

2- Measuring the active, reactive power as well as the power factor. This will help you to know better about the nature of load. Does it need to install capacitor banks if it is an inductive load.

3- Knowing the phase rotation by so many devices like PWS.

Electrical testing may include: checking wiring continuity, voltage injection and current injection to check the protection devices and so on
