LC: LETTER OF CREDIT OR DOCUMENTARY CREDIT

M/V: MOTOR VESSEL...USED TO INDICATE WITH VESSEL NAME.

C/O: GENERALY STANDS FOR 'CARE OF' ..BUT IN SHIPPING TERMS...DOCUMENT NAME 'CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN' 

BAF: BUNKER ADJUSTMENT FACTOR..SHPPING CO. USUALLY ADDS TO FREIGHT CHARGES DUE TO FLUCTUATION OF OIL PRICES

HBL: HOUSE BILL OF LADING, USUALLY ISSUED BY FREIGHT FORWARDERS NOT THE SHIPPING COMPANIES OR THEIR AUTHORIZED AGENTS.

DDU: DELIVERED DUTY UNPAID 

CNF:  IT IS INCOTERM USED IN INVOICES SHOWING DETAIL OF INVOICE COST WHICH IT

         REPRESENTS, COST AND FREIGHT

 HBL: House Bill of Lading is issued by the NVOCC/Freight Forwarder to the actual customer

1. Master Bill of Lading (MBL) is issued by the Shipping Line (Carrier) to the NVOCC/Freight Forwarder –  also known as Ocean Bill of Lading
2. House Bill of Lading will be an EXACT replica of the Master Bill of Lading issued by the actual Shipping line in respect of cargo details.. The only difference will be that the shipper, consignee and notify party details will be different in the HBL and MBLDDU: Delivered duty unpaid  transaction in international trade where the seller is responsible for making a safe delivery of goods to a named destination, paying all transportation expenses but not the duty. The seller bears the risks and costs associated with supplying the good to the delivery location, where the buyer becomes responsible for paying the duty and other customers clearing expenses. 

CNF: there's three different abbreviations for it (C&F, CFR, CNF.CIF) but the right one CFR which is mean cost and freight

POL: Port of Loading

T/T: Transit time (Between Port of origin and port of destination including transshipment Port)

LC: Letter of credit

M/V: Mentioned Vessel

C/O: Care of or sometimes it could be used for Certificate of origin (COO)

BAF: Bunker adjustment factor

HBL: House Bill of Lading - When your goods have been booked with a freight forwarder by sea, he as a carrier issues receipts of goods which is called House Bill of Lading (HBL). In turn, freight forwarder books the cargo with vessel owner and collects Master Bill of Lading (MBL) or Groupage Bill of Lading. In a Master Bill of Lading, there can be more than one consignment. Once the cargo reaches at destination, the associate office of freight forwarder delivers cargo to the final consignee.

DDU: Delivered duty unpaid
