Saving time does not automatically save money, proper balance needs to be applied.
My Suggestion in this regard is saving both Time and Money . Because Time is Money. Adding to this we shoul proactively plan and escalate the same to our customers and service providers(3PL /Shippers) to avoid last minute hassles.
There are2 cases
1- Logistics Manger working in a non-logistics company uses3rd party logistics companies.
in this case the concentration will be on cost and time both.
2-Logistics Manager working in a logistics services company.
in this case it will be taken as case to case and the target is the satisfaction of the customers.
i prioritize on case to case basis, depending on the nature of shipment and it's expectency level. But usually I save charges.
