hi yvan,
brand is a 'promise' made to the customer
a brand is a product name, mostly given a suitable name to mach or suite the product.the product should atleast sell it self if not advertised, that is it should have atractive coluors just by the look to catch the eye of the counsumer,
It is a spark that creates an emotion and a promise. A spark that answers the question "Why?" a certain company does what it does. And I dont mean money, money is just a side-product. The Why? is the passion that drives the sales and the people involved in the brand.
Brand - Trademark,Popular,Identity,Ownership,Variety.
I hope I can simplify what a brand is with this answer.
A brand is an identity (created by establishing an emotional connect) to capture a portion of your customer's mindshare so that they recall your product/service in a cluttered environment where many similar products/services exist. It helps your product/service stand out from the rest.
A brand is the gut feeling that a person has about a product, service, or organization. It's a gut feeling because people are emotional, intuitive beings. It's a person's gut feeling because brands are defined by individuals, not companies, markets, or the public.A brand is not a product, not an identity, not a logo. In other words, It's not WHAT you say it is .. It's what THEY say it is.
A BRAND IS AN ENTITY BY ITSELF IT IS A LIVING FORM WITH A CHARACTER AND PERSONALITY OF ITS OWN.
Brand is a single identity in the mind of consumer.
A brand is the sum total of all the experiences that a product promises to give its buyer. It may include the emotional, rational and physical attributes. By doing this the passion and loyalty of the customer is tapped in order to generate a superior buying experience.
Brand is a brief of your business life, it's not only related to marketing&sales but every corner in your company (production, finance, cs, qc, development, etc.)
