How do you handle a person or people who try to pull you down and discourage you that you are not a good salesman or Marketing Executive?

It is a reality that there are the so-called "dream stealers" around us, trying to pull us down when we strive to aim for success. And these people can, in some ways or another, affect us. Each one of us has his own way of handling such situation. What do you do, then, if this happens to you?

Very good question, thanks a lot. These kind of things happen not only in sales or marketing positions but I would say in every aspect of life let it be private or professional. In such kind of situation I try to analyze what they are saying and not to pay too much attention to them. Based on my analysis what they are telling is the truth then I attempt to correct my actions accordingly, however if nonsense is said then I think it is not up to them to judge.

If they affect your work then you have to balance the situation and listen sometime. Perhaps, it may be a constructive comments but literally negative, we have to be strong when this happen and be able to move on.

If they have no effect on you and has nothing to do with your work then ignore them and focus in your work. "We can't pleased every body."

I would try not to associate with that person too much. In the event I  need this person for a task or assignment I would keep it brief and to the point focusing on the job only. Take all negatives and turn into positives.
