I would recommend cs-cart over any open source shopping cart out there.
I've been cs-cart user for years now and couldn't be happier.
CS-Cart certainly excel in usability, ease of use and flexibility.
Magento on the other hand is much more complex and have longer learning curve, with no clear benefit over clean simple solutions like cs-cart or openCart for example.
But I should also mention that magento is still the most widely used e-commerce platform on the internet.
I would recommend to try a demo first and go with whatever you feel good for your business.

Though, all these CMS was why can't you develop your own and make it open source for us.
If you are a PHP programmer, develop your own and make it as modules for DRUPAL.
While if you have no time, then, use DRUPAL.

There are so many E-commerce CMS available these days like:

Magento | OpenCart |Uber Cart | Woo Commerce | OS Commerce | Drupal Commerce | PrestaShop and ZenCart etc etc.

I love Open Cart due to it's MVC and an additional "L"(Language) . MVCL framework help you a lot while working on modules and front end developement but only thing which is missing "A Good Documentation", i guess!. Anyways, not a big concern because of some sample code available to kick start.

On the other hand, I am agree with Abdul Rahim Panwer anb Hosam Alghamdi that Wordpress is doing well for beautiful web stores. You can easily start developing by reading available documentation and find everything on the right track. Overall, it's fun to develop with Wordpress.  I will suggest you to give a try to it if you are searching for something interesting to work with.
